In 1935, the U.S was in the midst of the Great Depression; the Dust Bowl was devastating farmlands in the Great Plains; U.S. Senator Huey Long was assassinated; beloved entertainer Will Rogers and aviation pioneer Wiley Post died in a plane crash; and the Labor Day Hurricane with its 185 mph winds killed hundreds of people in the Florida Keys. It was during this time that Bishop Roy Dixon, DD, was born and raised in the segregated South.

In this memoir, Bishop Dixon takes us on his incredible journey from rural Georgia to Southern California, where he became a respected entrepreneur, minister, pastor, community leader, and bishop of the Church of God in Christ. Bishop Dixon reflects on how he, like clay in the hands of a master potter, is shaped and molded by God through challenging times, joyful times, struggles, heartbreak, devastation, successes, and blessings.
